DLG Bristol Refit
The largest UK general insurer, Direct Line Group (DLG), as part of their property strategy, had decided to relocate 1100 people from an existing office building of 120,000 NIA (sqft) to a new office of 64,000 NIA (sqft).
The new office needed to be taken back to the original slab for full refurbishment and Ascot were appointed to undertake a full design and build solution including the relocation of people and decommissioning of the old office space. Working closely with DLG’s interior architect’s Ascot also needed to ensure the interior space and layout aligned with the client’s core values. Total project budget £9.5m.
What did we actually do – Full strip out, new heating and cooling system, chiller installation, LV upgrade, new LED lighting, acoustic soundproofing and sound masking system, new alarm systems, floor plate designs, new shower room facility, full security upgrade, internal-external signage and rebranding.
