Bright Horizons Teddies Nursery

Bright Horizons are an American owned Childcare provider with a portfolio of Circa 300 Children’s Nurseries throughout the UK, making them one of the leading childcare providers in the country.

With a demand of constant refreshing and refurbishments required through their portfolio Ascot Services are part of the Bright Horizons Framework, delivering a rolling programme of refurbishments throughout the year.

Ascot Services were appointed to carry out a garage conversion and full refurbishment of the main building at the Bright Horizons Teddies Nursery, Sheffield. The garage conversion required planning permission and although small in terms of size, this project had its challenges due to the close proximity of the neighbouring party walls.

The main building refurbishment as all the Nursery refurbishments are challenging in the sense that the nurseries require to continue business as usual which can prove difficult to manage and requires hands on co-ordination and planning to ensure the nurseries needs are met with as little disruption as possible. This particular project required constant attention as there were a vast amount of structural openings formed to open up extra space for the building, which in itself is always a difficult task but due to the nature of the business proved even more challenging.

Following completion of the Conversion and refurbishment meant the client could open up more facilities and Child care spaces to their already increasing demand in a new and refreshing and fully refurbished environment.
