Replacement of Circulating Pumps & Controls

Project 1 - Project 2 - Project 3

Demolition

The existing systems where isolated on a rolling programme so as to only have one pump out of service at any one time.

The system was isolated drained and the existing equipment dismantled and disposed off. All existing concrete plinths where broken out and new cast with reinforced steel to specified dimensions by Ascot civil personnel.

Construction

Ascot mechanical pipe fitters installed new equipment and fabricated required spool pieces to incorporate pressure gauges, test points and drain points. Specialist lifting equipment was used to lift in plant items.

Commissioning

The system was finally filled tested and re-commissioned.
Test certification and O&M manuals where issued to client on completion.

The project involved the replacement of the existing circulating pumps including new flexible connections, isolating valves, pipeline strainers, pressure/altitude gauge cocks and Commissioning Stations.

In addition the works incorporated the wiring of the replacement pumps and connection of the Differential Pressure switches into the BMS system and relevant panel modifications.
